Welcome to the Chatham-Kent Bahá'i Community
Bahá'ís have been active and present for over 50 years in the Chatham-Kent area. Guided by the teachings of Bahá'u'lláh, the Bahá'i community is dedicated to working with all peoples to contribute to the spiritual and material progress of the community.
Bahá'u'lláh's teachings tell us that regardless of race, gender, class or creed, all humans are noble beings and have been created to contribute to the progress of the society. "Ye are the fruits of one tree, and the leaves of one branch", He says. "Deal ye one with another with the utmost love and harmony, with friendliness and fellowship".
Bahá'is in Chatham-Kent, and all over the world, are striving to bring this vision of oneness of humanity into reality through local activities such as classes for spiritual empowerment of children and youth, devotional gatherings and study circles where inspirational service projects are born and carried out for the community to put to practice what was learned and transform our communities into a more united and loving communities.
These four activities provide spaces for people of various ages to explore concepts like spiritual life of humanity, nature of soul and relationship between one's inner life and external conditions.
These core activities are open to all, and you can engage in any of these activities by contacting us.
